Garbage Pickup

GARBAGE PICKUP FOR THE EAST SIDE AND WEST SIDE OF HWY 141  WILL RESUME WITH THE WINTER SCHEDULE: 
FRIDAYS ON A BI-WEEKLY BASIS BEGINNING THE WEEK AFTER LABOR DAY THROUGH MEMORIAL DAY! 
DURING THE WEEKS CONTAINING A MAJOR HOLIDAY GARBAGE PICKUP WILL BE ON SATURDAY.  RECYCLING WILL OCCUR ON YOUR  LAST PICKUP OF THE MONTH.

GARBAGE RECEPTICALS CAN BE OBTAINED BY CALLING THE THE TOWN OF AMBERG CLERK. 

COST OF EXTRA GARBAGE/RECYCLING CANS ARE $50.00 PER BIN PAYABLE BY CHECK TO GFL AND CAN BE MAILED TO THE TOWN OF AMBERG WHO WILL CALL GFL ON YOUR BEHALF AND FORWARD THE CHECKS TO THEM.

  • Winter garbage pickup schedule resumes between  Labor day & Memorial Day  with weekly pickup alternating between both sides of Hwy 141. 

  • All underlined dates are the recycle pick up dates.

  • GFL will not pickup any garbage that is not bagged even if it is in a garbage can.

  • These are the current requirements listed by GFL for garbage pickup: 

  • 1) must be in the cans provided,

  • 2) must be on the correct side of the road,

  • 3) they must be placed the required distance apart according to the contract between the Town of AMBERG and GFL

  • If  you get a note from the driver listing one of the highlighted requirements above it is up to you to remedy the problem. 

  • If road conditions make it impossible for your garbage to be picked up the GFL driver will contact the Amberg road crew supervisor to plow or sand the road as necessary.

  • As always please have your garbage and recyclables out early.
